My Sunshine,

 

You have changed so much in the last two weeks.  You laugh, smile, and coo more.  You response when we talk to you.  You love when we repeating what you say.  Daddy and Mommy are having a lot of fun with you. 

 

You can hold objects briefly.  You tend to grab my hair more (ouch!!! That hurts!!!)

 

 

Your new favorite thing to do is sucking your hands.  I can’t remember when the last time I try to put a pacifier in your mouth, maybe two weeks ago.  You refused to take it.

I was surprised actually because you always like it.  Shortly after that, I saw you put a thumb in your mouth and then the whole fist.  You sometimes put ten fingers in your mouth and suck on and on.  They are delicious, aren’t they?

 

 

 

Anyway,

 

On Friday, I had to run errands.  There were a lot of places that I wanted to go.  I was afraid that I wouldn’t get it done.  Surprisingly, I did.  Thanks God and Thank you!!!

 

The reason why I was so afraid is because you would cry when we are at a store, then people would look at me look like I am a bad mom. I remember last time when we went to get a pair of new shoes for daddy at Shoes Carnival.  I also wanted to pick up a pair for myself but you started to cry so I didn’t get one.  I tried to calm you down but you didn’t.  You know what?  People around me looked at me with the eyes telling me that, “do something with that kid.”  My dear, I know you are good kid.  You cried because you were tired and hungry.  I tried to feed you before we left the house though, but you didn’t want to take it.

 

I did better this time.  I wanted to go out with a tummy full baby so I came up with a strategy.  I wore you out first by making you stay awake a little longer.  Next, I fed you until you were full.  I burped you and made sure you were happy.  We left the house with the snugli.  I figured that you might want to look around the stores, incase you are not sleepy.

 

There were four stores that I wanted to go.  The first one was Shoes Carnival.  When we got there, you weren’t sleepy so I put you in the snugli.  You were looking around and helping me pick out shoes.  Ten minutes later, you were out. 

 

 

 

Great!!! I put you in the car seat for the next store, Target, so you can sleep.  You were awake as soon as I put you in the car seat.  You didn’t cry though.  You had your eyes open for five minutes and then you were out!!!

 

 

 

My next destination was Sam’s club.  You were sleeping!!! He he he he.  You looked like having a headache in the picture:)  I think it’s kind of cute!!!

 

 

The last one was Shop and Save.  I wasn’t sure about going to this place.  I figured you may get hungry by now.  It had been three and half hours since we left the house by the way.  As we got closer and closer to the place, I didn’t see any sign of the hunger baby.  In fact, you were sleeping away.  So I decided to stop by at the store.  I finished up my business and you were still sleeping.

 

Oh Evelyn, I was so proud of you!!!!

 

 

When we got home, you opened your eyes right away while I tried to get a picture of you sleeping.  You looked at me for second and cried like crazy.  I fed you afterward and you were fine!!! 

 

 

 

I am not trying to embarrass you with the crying picture but I want to let you know that I am very proud of you.  You are such a big helper.  Yes, you are my big girl!!!
